She had taken the jug of juice and poured herself some before leaving the table. It was the stuff she wasn't ever confessing to that was the shifty part, and even that wasn't really bad. Just funny, and temporary. "Here," she added, holding the glass out to him. "There's nothing in there but juice. Honest. You can check." Step two of the innocent act, and he wasn't about to find anything in her glass anyway.

He was still frowning as he took the cup and lifted it to his nose.

Sniff, sniff.

"I don't smell anything."

Then he turned to Neo. "Perhaps Mr. Masterson will take a sip," Vindictus said and handed the cup to the Groundskeeper.
