know what she figured. So, she decided it was safest to drop the subject. No need to irritate her right now... the obvious... irritation? Was it? In Lawson's face? Again, Kylie sighed internally.
She had a thing about not being good enough.
"Well, anyways, thanks. You're really quite kind... Out of curiosity... the way you sort of lit up when we walked in...?" Kylie couldn't assume anything. She could have lit up for a number of reasons. Maybe she was good friends with the healer. Who knew.
The only way to find out was to ask, right?
