How come Cam looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here?
Nerves? Well he knew that feeling but c'mon, this was Oliver: that annoying Snake!boy and the bane of her life. Heh.
Her squeaked high pitched
'Haiiiiiiiiii' caused his smile to grow, a soft snicker escaping him and if her reply to his cheesy chat up line hadn't been so so so
so endearing, he would have said something rather sarcastic, probably cutting and
oh so hilariously funny in response. But he didn't – he just gazed at the pretty girl who looked sort of lost.
Her confession to being confused was even cuter than the squeak she made before and Oliver felt suddenly protective towards her. He reached out for her hand, giving it a little squeeze.
“Why are you confused?” He asked her gently. She had as much right to be here as anyone else.
“You look lovely.” He said with a smile. So why was she here with him again? Oh yeah.. the insecurities.
Dreaming? He crinkled his nose.
“If you're dreaming then I must be too and, you know... it's actually quite a nice dream.” He nodded and stuck his arm out so she could link.
“Shall we?” He asked. But where to?
“You wanna drink or something to eat? ...perhaps a wee boogie on the dancefloor?” he smirked at the girl knowing fine well she would want to avoid the dancefloor at all costs.
But that wasn't going to happen as long as Oliver had
his way.
