Chapter 6
The bag was still over my head. that’s never a good sign. “Mr. Weasley, would you kindly remove our guest’s blindfolds,” a deep, calm voice asked.
As the darkness disappeared, I took in every detail; Percy was strapped into a chair next to me, I was surrounded by people that looked all high and mighty in the chair-ish thrones surrounding us, and I was still wearing my camp half-blood neon orange t-shirt.
“Now, this trial for underage magic, resisting arrest, and an attack of a certified auror,” the grown man who spoke before went on. He was of dark complexion and was wearing what looked like traditional African robes ( I got an A+ on my report of ancient wardrobe).
“What are you people talking about?” Percy asked in his weird voice which goes higher when he asks a question. “We have done nothing, but try to defend ourselves. You try being taken away by someone you don’t know or trust. See if you don’t throw some punches,”
His comment raised chuckles from the crowd. I taught him well. “Yeah,” I agreed.
“People, people please, don’ t believe them. I have evidence that they were using magic that we have never encountered. Who’s here to say that it’s not dark magic?” the bowler hat guy asked/ persuaded. And according to his name plate he was Mr. Cornelius Fudge. Well… now I’m really hungry.
“Well,” I added apprehensively “I’m here to testify.” Now the crowd ,of what seemed to be judges, was laughing out loud. Who knew you robe-wearing weirdoes had a sense of humor. The last sentence I said out loud.
I glanced around at the group of people here to see if we were a danger when the real danger was opening up the door…right…now. Thanks for reading and if you want to read more of my fan fics look at A Phoenix Sister (a character story) |
