And boys just couldn't be pretty. Unless they looked like girls, and Brooke didn't know many people like that.
Dizzy!Brooke came to a stop one again and laughed. Dizzily. But she didn't mind, because being dizzy was fun. FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! Pausing, she dropped her feet to the ground and used her sandals to try and steady herself as she watched Tallan spin. Faster, and faster, and faster... and.... stop. "Seee! Told you it was fun!" And she began to twist the chains of the swing. Again. "I do stick up for you Tal," Brook argued, pouting because he was all dissapointed in her. "But I'd look silly if I had hair like yours, and when I'd touch it I'd cut myself. So therefore Texas' hair is nicer. For me. I want hair like Texxy." Yes, she really would. She's give anything to have hair like Texas. To be pretty like Texas. Sigh. "Realllllly?!" Brookie was allowed to tell someone that they looked like ice cream? Squeeeee! That was soooo cool. And Reece was cool, so it was gonna be great! What would she feel like if they said she looked like ice cream though? She'd be happy! Because it's ice cream, and everybody looooves ice cream. So then everybody would love her. Squeee! Using the hand that had been previously holding Annie's, James realised that he still had his arm around Leighs shoulders. Ooopsies. Annie didn't look too mad, but he dropped it just in case, pulling the rest of his money from his pocket. It would look awkward if he kept hold of his best friend longer than his girlfriend, and although Annie knew he only saw Leigh in a friend kinda way, it might still be weird for her.
About to look around in effort to find an empty table, Jame's paused upon hearing a voice behind him. Ah, there was Reece. "Hi man," he called over his shoulder, smiling as his friend kissed his girlfriend. They seriously had problems with all of the girls following Reece around school, but they seemed to make it work.
Finding a boothe with enough room for all of them to squeeze in, James stayed standing. "I'mma order," he smiled down at them all. "What do you want Annie?" he asked her squeezing her shoulder as she sat down. He didn't even need to ask Leigh, she would have chocolate.
But.... just too be precautious; "Chocolate, Leigh?" Tal nodded his head sharply when Brooke agreed with him, and it brought on another wave of dizziness. Right. No nodding of the head when that head was just spinning. "Exactly. Now, we can both win. Texas is pretty and I'm good looking." he paused, glancing over at Brooke. "You're pretty too, Brookes, ya know that right? Very pretty." "It actually is!" he agreed with a laugh as he started twisting his swing up again. Who knew that swings could have more use than just the classic front-and-back type of thing. TWIST. He got a quick mental image of how stupid he probably looked, but pushed it away. Who cares? It was fun!
Hmm. She had a point there. Momentarily pausing in his swing-twisting, Tal looked over at Brooke, trying to imagine her with short, spikey hair like his. "Don't get spikey hair." he suggested, shaking head. "Your hair is pretty how it is." Yup. Tal was just FULL of compliments today. "Real-" Aw dang. Reece had already seen the others, so he left before Brooke could tell him he looked like ice cream. Poor Brooke. Tal glanced over at her, giving her a sympathetic look. Oh well, she'd get another chance. Yupp. She'd known it, she totally knew it was coming. James realized he still had his arm around her, and so he dropped it. Meh. Of course. Leigh though, to her credit, kept her signature BIG smile on her face as she sat down in the booth, squishing onto the end by whoever it was she was sitting by. She didn't look.
Ooh he still remembered what her favorite ice cream flavor was! Awesome! "Yep; chocolate!" she comfirmed, her smile getting a bit more genuine. "Here," she added, handing him some money before he could walk away.
