James could understand if Shannon didn't want to come without Reece, but he grinned at her nonetheless, to show she was more than welcome. "You are!" Brooke replied stubbornly. "Otherwise we wouldn't be friends. I don't like boring people. And people who aren't crazy equal BOR-ING!" Fact. It was even in the 'Big Big Book of Big Brookie Facts'. And yes, she had written it herself. Because she was so uber cool like that. "I'm very sure Tallan! Because I can't trust you. 'Cause even though CRAY-ZY people are fun, they can not be trusted. Nuh-uh." Another FACT. Another very important fact, too. Nooooo I'm not," Brookie giggled as she started to spin, tucking her legs in under the swing. She would probably kick Tal or Tex if she straightened them, and she didn't want that to happen, because then they'd probably get mad at her. Tex especially. "C'mon Tal! Its FUNNN!" Hehe. Looking over to the others on the swings, James raised his voice slightly. "We're gonna go get ice cream. Tell Reece if he comes, yeah?" he called, before looking back at the people immediately in front of him again.
Spinning slowly to a stop, Brooke just caught what James was saying. "Guyses," she said to Tallan. "'Member that, 'kay? 'Cause I wont. We have to tell Reece, he looks like ice cream." Now why on earth would James want to tell him that? Wasn't that a little.... stupid? Because Reece didn't look like ice cream. It was a stupid way of describing him. Stooo-pid James. Quote:

She rolled her eyes again as she listened to Tallan and Brooke go on about him being attractive and loosely giving in, she nodded. "Yeah.. sure.. Good looking Tall. Sure... Yeah." Ew, what a brain fail. But still, JACK TAMWORTH was being the worst twin in HISTORY. And he needed to sort his brain out.
-- Hang on. Had Tallan JUST said HIS hair was nicer than hers? No way. "For your information, Tally, MY hair is so much better than yours, I mean.. It's MY hair. Property of Texas Bianca Tamworth. So therefore, it is better. Brookles, back me up here?" Lordy. How could the world think someone elses hair was better than Texas'? Then again ... Tallan's hair was nice.... and pointy.
She laughed along with Brooke when she went on about the pointyness of his hair, and nodded. "Could take an eye out with that hair of yours..." Not her best, not her worst comment, but still... lame. Gosh. Jack, why are you such a loser?
Shooting a glance over at her brother, she sighed once more as she watched him get ready to tottle off with the others. "...Looks like they're all tottering off elsewhere." She shrugged, turning back to hoist herself up to sit on bar near the swingset. Jack nodded. NODDED. AND HE NODDED.
He was going. And Texas was going to hate it. But he didn't CARE. In your FACE Texas. Oh. Wait... -- did twins have telewelapthy? That meant she could hear him. Oh crap. [i]Oh.. Tex, I'm sorry.. I didn't mean that. Really I didn't, I just.. Am I allowed to go for an ice cream, please? I can get you one if you want? Or just a drink? A fruit juice or something. I know you don't like unhealthy stuff...[/.i] Jack waited for just a few seconds and then started to chew at his lip again, as he got no answer.
And decided to go. Texas could get her own fruit juice. Even though he probably would get her one, anyway. "Sure.. Let's go.. See you in a -- Tex?" He gave up, and gave Leigh a weeeeetle smile. Quote:

Ice cream! Annie loved ice cream. She slipped her small hand into James' larger one, and they went over to the truck. 'Buy me an ice cream, James?' she asked quietly, giving him a kiss on the cheek. She'd forgotten her bag, which had her purse in it. Great. She smiled at Shannon happily. She liked Shannon, she was really nice. She seemed to be getting along well with Andre. That was nice - Shannon needed some more friends. Annie knew she felt like she wasn't really part of their group yet. Andre too, they were both nice. Texas, on the other hand.... blech. Annie was glad she wasn't coming to get ice cream. "We wouldn't be friends if I wasn't crazy?" Tallan repeated, looking at Brooke with big, grey puppy-dog eyes. Hmph. "Well, then. I'm glad I'm crazy." He was pouting, now. He didn't like losing disagreements, and he was NOT crazy, no matter what Brooke said. He could be slightly different, yes, but not crazy. She was the crazy one.
Aha. And back to the hair again. His hair was just that wonderful, wasn't it? Yes. "That means I can't trust you either, Brookie." he told her, shaking his head. "'Cause you're crazy too." Just to get that out there; she needed to know the truth. "And Tex," he continued, turning his gaze to the other girl, "Your hair might be property of Texas Bianca Tamworth, but my hair is property of Tallan Heights." So. There. His was better, end of story, no competition. "And I couldn't take an eye out," he defended, "...That'd be awkward to put my head in someone's eye." Hmph. Again.
He watched, an actual, teeth-showing smile coming to his face as Brooke started spinning away on the swing. He looked away as James called to them, shouting "Yeah, We'll tell him!" back to the big group going for ice cream. Hmm. Tal wanted ice cream, too. He looked from the big group back to his little group, weighing his options. He decided to stay with the swings, and the two girls he got to be alone with. So much better than ice cream. "We're supposed to tell him that they went for ice cream, not that he looks like ice cream." he corrected Brooke absentmindedly, starting to twist his own swing up. "How far do you twist?" he questioned, looking up at the chains on his swing. Leigh smiled to Shannon and Andre, glad they were coming. Then she grabbed Jack's hand, tugging on it a little when he didn't come. He was probably waiting for permission from Texas - permission he wasn't going to get. Why did he let his sister push him around like that.
When Annie asked James to buy her an ice cream, Leigh discretely let go of Jack's hand so she could check the pocket on her shorts. Good; she had money. If James was going to pay for his girlfriend's ice cream, he wouldn't have to pay for his best friend's, too. That wasn't fair.
ANYWAY. She felt kind of...skippy, now. She wanted to skip. She glanced up at James, trying to decide if she wanted to stay under his arm, or if she wanted to go skip ahead of everyone. Because she had a feeling that he wouldn't want to skip with her. Sigh. She'd just have to skip some other time, when James didn't have his arm around her. "Where are we going for ice cream?" she asked, her voice chirpy.
