Heh. By the time this class was finished, Destiny was going to have a huge muscle! Then her arms would be unevenly proportioned. Pfft, she could never win. Glancing at Evelyn for a second, a laugh escaped as she saw the saw not cutting the board. "Pssst, Evelyn! Your board is upside down." That was why it wasn't working, obviously.

She couldn't wait for Evelyn to flip the board around, since she was still in the middle of sawing her own board. Perhaps she should pay attention, so she doesn't cut anyone in half..which reminded her..

Holding the saw up a little with her right hand, she removed her left from the mitre box and raised it HIGH, "Professsssor! Don't the muggles use this saw thingamabob to cut people in half and put them back together!? Can weeee doooo that tooooo?"

She gave a quick glance towards Marie.

"PLEASE!?"
Lawson rolled his eyes at Destiny, “That is an illusion that muggle magicians do Destiny. They don’t really cut people in half and so no, we won’t be cutting people in half. Just the wood thank you.” He looked down at her piece of wood and then back to the third year, “Which you haven’t completed yet.”

Oh boy!

It was turning out to be one of those days. Lawson continued to smile at the Hufflepuff, “Well that’s all well and good Simon but today we are using a hand saw okay. Humour me alright?”

He took a deep breath and began to count in his head.

One.

Taking a small break however, the Slytherin glanced at Destiny when she said something was wrong with her board. It was upside down? How in the world would that make any difference? Frowning, Evelyn took the saw out of the mitre box before flipping the board to the other side, and placing the saw back in one of the slots.

It still wasn't working.

"Brilliant idea, genius." she mumbled before stopping once more and just, holding the saw in place. "Doesn't work."

Yea. She didn't know the saw was upside down. Meh.

Muggle stuff was difficult!
Stepping up beside Evelyn, Lawson scratched the back of his head as he looked down at the saw that the Slytherin was holding and then back to her face.

“Tell me Evelyn what is wrong with this picture?” he asked pointing at her saw.

Two.

Three.

Rats! They had to use the middle box or whatever it was called. How was she suppose to cut the table using that thing? It's like Lawson was making them use it on purpose, you know so she couldn't get away from Destiny.

She put her piece of wood in the box thing and started to cut it. This was going to take forever doing it this way. She was so glad she was not a muggle and was able to use magic... well except in this class.

She kept moving the saw thing back and forth hoping the blasted board would break into two pieces already when she noticed Destiny waving her saw in the air.

WHAT!

Cut people in half!

Marie seen the way Destiny was looking at her when she said that. Her friend was definatly losing her mind there if she thought Marie was going to let her use that saw on her. "Don't even think about it Destiny. You bring that thing anywhere near me and you will regret it!" she growled at her friend.

"Professor Mean Lawson, I want to move. It is NOT safe for me to be sitting here. I really think you need to let me sit waaaaay over there, as faaaaaar away as I can get from... HER!" she said pointing to her crazy saw waving friend. Pffft, friend... yeah right.

Lawson had to see now that her life was in danger... and it was all HIS fault. If he wouldn't have tied them together then Marie and Destiny would NOT be ready to kill each other now.
Four.

Five.

“Fine. Fine. Move away from her then.” Lawson could start to feel his patience running out as he looked around the room as to where he could put the girl.

He turned back to Marie and there was a hint of a smirk on his face. “There is vacant table next to Miranda. Why don’t you go and sit over there.”

HA!

If she thought sitting next to Destiny was bad wait until she sits beside “The Destroyer.’

With a quite satisfied smile on her face, Miranda inspected the rather destroyed end of the piece of wood. But, she, unlike the others, had now TWO pieces instead of one long... So, ha!

...

Crap.
Miranda slumped her shoulders at the sound of Lawsons voice...LOUD voice. Sighing she turned to him and recieved a not-so-nice reprimand...again, and she was a bit surprised at the way the Professor snatched the hammer from her hand. Whoa.

What's the matter?! Pfffffffffffft. Again, she looked like a sulky little kid. Seriously, what was up with these questions? Ofcourse she didn't like him screaming, it was kind of annoying...and LOUD. Pfffft. She narrowed her eyes, putting the piece of wood on the table, ready to say something back but she pursed her lips and crossed her arms on her chest. Dangit. Once more, as he stared at her, the Captain blinked alot and tried to not look at the man. But yeah, difficult, he was RIGHT THERE.

But the next thing Mr Lawson said, made her gape at the man, like...what!? "Five points!?" Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? She had done the job. Her hand gestured towards the piece of wood. "But, sir-"
Shuddup! Gah! She REALLY didn't need to be missing out on... Quidditch for this. This.... this, stupid class. STUPID!

Clenching her jaw, Miranda waited for the Professor to walk off.
Could they like...move on now? Tick tock tick tock...
"But what, Miranda?”

He raised an eyebrow at her, just daring the girl to whine to him about the loss of points. Didn’t she realise that she could have injured herself or someone else in the class with her craziness.

And here he had thought this class was a good idea.

Six.

Seven.

That was something she hadn't done before. Not surprisingly her dad hadn't trusted with a saw whenever she helped him at home.Couldn't blame him.But she was determind to be careful, and the mitre box would help - hopefully.

Getting a fresh bit of wood, Sarah positioned it in the box and picked up the nearby saw."This should be...interesting." All she had to do was cut it in two.oooh that rhymed Getting the saw in a good grip in her right hand, Sarah placed the other on the mitre box and wood, to keep it steady - and then she started to saw...

EeeeeEeeeEEEEEeeeeeEEEeeeeee

Shuddering as the noise set her teeth off, Sarah stopped for a second to re-adjust her grip...But then she couldn't get the saw to move again. "Urrrrr, ohhh crap." Tug, tug, tuuuuuuuugggggg. It just wouldn't budge either forward or back, and she was now grunting with the effort. She was just about to turn around and put her hand in the air, asking for help, when the most awful bellowing came from the other side of the room - again.Ohhh no, not Miranda...

Closing her eyes, Sarah turned before she opened them to see Professor Lawson speaking to her friend. It didn't look or sound good.POINTS?! He'd taken points?! Was Miranda nuts?? Staring in disbelief, Sarah heard the handle of her own saw TWAAAAANNNNGGGGG as she let it go from her grasp.Blinking at the Captain as Lawson stared at her, Sarah tried to get her attention using her facial expressions.Sign language of sorts was needed here - point, YOU...thumb at chest, ME...clap fingers together, TALK....point at door, OUTSIDE....She couldn't think what to do for after though, so left it at that.Screwing up her face in a frown, Sarah then turned back to her own wood, unsure if she should ask for any help or not.

But the darn thing wasn't going to move, was it? Hand in the air. "Urrrr, Professor Lawson? My saw is stuck in the wood.I can't move it either way.How do I pull it out?" Because, like, that was essential for her to carry on here.
Eight.

Lawson closed his eyes briefly and then opened them as he walked over to Sarah’s worktable. “Put your weight onto the mitre box to hold it down and then pull the saw up, handle first so that it comes up on an angle.”

Errrr...

Jake hadn't really been watching... sooooo...

Blinking around at everyone, Jake shrugged to himself and looked down at the wood, raising his arms with a big ol' saw in them ready to swing it down like a sword (and MAKING SURE that it touched NOBODY ELSE so that they WOULD NOT GET HURT). True, he was brought up as a muggle. But he had no common sense.

At all.

And since Miranda had been shouted at, Jake would be fine.

"Is thhhis right ssssir?" the boy called out, looking over at the man before preparing to whoosh the saw'd down. He was lost on the whole mitre box thang.
Oh bloody hell!!

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” he yelled across the room and then quickly hurried over to the Hufflepuff’s table. “That’s not right. Put the saw down.”

Nine.

Ten.

Nope the counting did not work at all and the man gripped his hair with his hands and decided to chuck a spaz.

“For the love of Merlin, what is wrong with everyone today?”

He held up a hand before anyone of them could speak, quite frankly he did not want to know.

“Most of you are driving me INSANE.” He looked to Miranda first, “One of you wants to see if a hammer works just as well as a beaters bat.” He then turned to look at Destiny, “And another who wants to see if she can cut her friend in half.” Lawson then turned to look at Jake, “Someone who seems to think he is King Arthur and looks as though he is about to slay some dragon.” His eyes then moved to Marie, “And let’s not forget the person who just can’t seem to sit in one place for longer than five minutes.”

He took another deep breath and counted to ten once again. It wasn’t helping at all but he could pretend.

"Now listen to me all of you. These tools we are using can be dangerous if not used correctly and can cause some serious injuries." He glanced at Miranda as she said this. "I am going to demonstrate this one more time and I want you all to pay ATTENTION."

Moving behind his desk once again he picked up the mitre box. "Okay firstly place the mitre box onto your table then place your piece of wood inside the mitre box. Using your non dominant hand place it on the wood and apply pressure to keep the wood in place. Once you have done that, take your saw and slip it into one of the grooves. The teeth of the blade is what cuts the wood so that side should be on the bottom." He looked at Evelyn as he said this. "Like this.

"Now use a push/pull action while applying downward pressure to cut into your wood. Do you think you can all handle that?"
