Saw the piece of wood?
That was something she hadn't done before. Not surprisingly her dad hadn't trusted with a saw whenever she helped him at home.Couldn't blame him.But she was determind to be careful, and the mitre box would help - hopefully.
Getting a fresh bit of wood, Sarah positioned it in the box and picked up the nearby saw."This should be...interesting." All she had to do was cut it in two.oooh that rhymed Getting the saw in a good grip in her right hand, Sarah placed the other on the mitre box and wood, to keep it steady - and then she started to saw... EeeeeEeeeEEEEEeeeeeEEEeeeeee
Shuddering as the noise set her teeth off, Sarah stopped for a second to re-adjust her grip...But then she couldn't get the saw to move again. "Urrrrr, ohhh crap." Tug, tug, tuuuuuuuugggggg. It just wouldn't budge either forward or back, and she was now grunting with the effort. She was just about to turn around and put her hand in the air, asking for help, when the most awful bellowing came from the other side of the room - again.Ohhh no, not Miranda...
Closing her eyes, Sarah turned before she opened them to see Professor Lawson speaking to her friend. It didn't look or sound good.POINTS?! He'd taken points?! Was Miranda nuts?? Staring in disbelief, Sarah heard the handle of her own saw TWAAAAANNNNGGGGG as she let it go from her grasp.Blinking at the Captain as Lawson stared at her, Sarah tried to get her attention using her facial expressions.Sign language of sorts was needed here - point, YOU...thumb at chest, ME...clap fingers together, TALK....point at door, OUTSIDE....She couldn't think what to do for after though, so left it at that.Screwing up her face in a frown, Sarah then turned back to her own wood, unsure if she should ask for any help or not.
But the darn thing wasn't going to move, was it? Hand in the air. "Urrrr, Professor Lawson? My saw is stuck in the wood.I can't move it either way.How do I pull it out?" Because, like, that was essential for her to carry on here.
