This was just weird. He couldn't understand how you could make a choice to spend eternity with someone at such a young age, and with such a large age gap. Victoria was probably about the same age as Adam's cousin, but he would never have believed it if she'd owled him saying she was engaged. Yet here was proof that people could do that, were actually doing it.
