“Today… Hmm, well, we are going to talk while Jamie goes and works on his Charms essay” Alicia said as she climbed the staircase. Jamie pulled a face at her back. “And I saw that” Emily laughed as they walked down a corridor, heading for a short- cut.

“So, why can’t I hear what you’re going to talk about?” He asked as they walked towards the Fat Lady. Emily glanced at Alicia’s smooth face.

“Do you really want to talk about make- up and boys with us?” She said, turning and raising an eyebrow at him. He returned the look. “We’ll talk about you if you want… You’re still not going to join us” Emily giggled as Jamie stomped over to the tables by the window. “I want to see that finished by tomorrow, Jamie… Harry and Ron are going to come by later and ask if you want to practice with them…”

Alicia walked up the stairs and into the empty dorm, Emily right behind her.
“Right, spill” Alicia said, hanging over the side of her bed and looking at the red head upside down.

“When I walked out of the Hall, Draco caught my arm and pulled me into an empty room. I asked what he was doing and he just that I looked upset. I didn’t tell him that we’d had a fight. He moved close and I went to tell him that I think I’d made a mistake but he pushed my hair back over my shoulder and said that I shouldn’t do this… That he had moved on… He suggested that I should do the same…” Emily said and Alicia fell onto the floor.

“Remember when we were outside and you asked me if he would take you back?” She asked, going to sit next to her friend.

“Yeah… You said if he was smart he would” She said, frowning as she tried to see where this was going.

“I think we just found out that Draco Malfoy is as smart as this pillow… He doesn’t know what he’s missing, Ems- you’re funny and beautiful and any boy would be an idiot to let you go” Alicia said, hugging her shoulders slightly. Emily giggled lightly and then sighed.

“Alicia… What am I going to do? He’s all I want but all that I can’t have” Emily said quietly and Alicia bit her lip.

“I know how you feel about him, Ems… You love Malfoy just as much as I love Jamie… I need him and he needs me- Malfoy will probably wake up tomorrow and realise that he needs you in his life just as much as you need him” Alicia said, standing up and walking to her trunk. She rummaged around for a second before straightening back up. “Here… I want you to have this…” Alicia threw something small at Emily, who caught it

“Aw, thanks, Ali!” Emily said as she looked at the little heart pendant, hanging on a fine gold chain, laying in her hand.

“My brother, Emmett, brought it for me when I had my first vision of Jamie… I think it helped me find him… So now it will help you find the man of your dreams- even if it is Malfoy” Alicia said, hanging over the side of her bed again as her hair turned a bright pink.
