48. Unbreakable Vow
Fred kneeled on the floor, his hand entwined with Ron’s, as George was about to ask the final question of the Unbreakable Vow. Ron was about to say I will, when their father walked into the room.
“Boys have you seen-“ He stopped mid-sentence as he realized what they were doing. “What on earth are you boys doing?!”
Fred dropped Ron’s hand and looked at George nervously. They’d never seen their father like this. Arthur Weasley stormed over and grabbed Fred by the ear, dragging him into the other room. All that the two left could hear was the sound of Fred’s screams. Ron scampered from the room as Mr. Weasley came to give George his punishment.
After the whole ordeal was over, Fred and George were sent to their rooms for the rest of the day. They sat in silence for what felt like hours before anyone said anything.
“Great going Fred.”
“How is this my fault? You wanted to do it as much as I did!”
“I wouldn’t have even had the idea if you wouldn’t have brought it up!”
They glared at each other from their separate beds. Neither one wanted to take the blame for this.
