He still had to keep his eyes open at all times. Just in case Bunbury of any other female Professor loses their minds and comes to Hogwarts.
Treyen eyed the books again. That was good. Because Professor Dodson couldn't see his expression when he was told that Quidditch was not too much of his liking. He composed himself, and nodded, "I see...well, I guess it's not for everyone, my grandma hates it" yes, hate, that word suited the way his grandma felt about the sport, she didn't even cheer any event! Seriously! Mad woman! "And what about cheering?" because Sage Dodson could, at least, be a fan of cheering for anything, yes?
His eyes were fixed on the books again, "Professor, you wouldn't know by any chance what wood works best for a runes set, do you? I'm a fan of wands, and I've worked with wood, and we've been asked to make one of our own in Ancient Runes class..." he didn't even know how he managed to get a place in such a class, though, it was quite interesting, but he found Divination more diverting, "...and, well, I know wand trees work differently than for anything else" but, if the Professor had a book, on either trees-for-wands or wood/trees in general, then that'd be quite helpful. KNOCK. KNOCK.
He jumped a bit on his seat. Because he was sitting, yes. "Oh, are you expecting someone? I saw a Slytherin girl leaving, perhaps she forgot something?" oh, no, he didn't feel like seeing a Slytherin again. And he was absolutely certain that the one who left was the one that had the discussion with Jake last year. "Herbology isn't ALL about man-eating plants you know," the Professor said simply, small crease forming between his eyebrows when Treyen said this wasn't going to be like regular Herbology. He dreaded to think what the last Professor had been teaching them...
"And I don't hate Quidditch either," he carried on, head tilting to one side. He'd just never seen the point of the sport. Of ANY sports to be honest. Heh.
He sat thoughtfully for a moment, hands fidgeting on the desk. Treyen seemed oddly interested in his book collection and Sage listened carefully as he spoke up about runes and wand trees.
"Well, Ancient Runes was never one of my favourite subjects," he admitted, slightly abashed, "but I think I can help if its a book about magical trees that you want." That was after all, sort of his area. Leaning back in his seat, Sage reached for one of the book shelves, and eyed the spines in search. AHA.
"Magical Trees and their Properties," he grinned, setting the old book on his desk. He was sure there was a copy in the library, but he didn't mind loaning his own copy out.
He blinked a little when the door knocked.. he wasn't expecting anyone. Was he? Quote:

The little puff usually wouldn't be out so late in the evening, but she needed things for her tea. Normaly she was well stocked, but Perseus had gotten bored and found his way into her supplies, ruining them. Not wanting to see the healer, she opted insead for the herbology professor.
Knocking a few times on the door, she took a seat and waited to be let into the office, mind wondering. Quote:

Knock KnocK Knock
And quietly anticipated a response. Sage looked past the young Hufflepuff that was already in his office and towards the door. He supposed he better grant them entrance.. "Come on in," he called loudly enough for them to hear.
