"The Bubble-Head Charm," Lexi repeated, She used her wand to write the name of the charm on the board as she talked. "Perfect..."

Ahh, Impervius. Lexi hadn't expected someone to suggest that so early on in the lesson, but she was happy to realize that this group probably really knew their charms. Or, at least, she could at assume they did by the early suggestion of Impervius. "Impervius is a great suggestion, too. Thank you," she said. The charmed chalk wrote Impervius on the board, too.

Lexi eyed Selena. It seemed like the girl had a suggestion in mind and was planning on mentioning it, but she never did end up actually sharing it. The professor smiled at the girl then moved on to the next student who'd made a suggestion.

It was pretty embarassing that she didn't know how.
"The Impervius Charm is perfect---for those who don't want to get wet that is," she replied. Hmm...it might be a pretty good idea to remind the class of this suggestion later on in the lesson.

Pretty much whatever the problem could be solved that way." she said, trying to make sure no laughs or giggles escaped her. Problem solved if there was no water!
Lexi's eye narrowed slightly as she caught the smirk-like smile on Evelyn's face. This...should be an interesting answer. After all, it did pretty much cause very mischievous looking expression. The professor laughed lightheartedly when the Drought Charm was brought up. "Yes, Miss Flores...that would pretty much solve any problems that may arise. Of course, if we were in large bodies of water, we'd have to be careful when using this charm," she remarked. "We wouldn't want to drain out the Pacific...or harm the animals." Unless the animals in question were grindylows, that is. "Good answer, though...unique." The charmed piece of chalk added Drought Charm to the board, as well.

"Duro...yes. If it was used with caution, though. Duro could solidify objects around us, but...we'd need to be careful not to trap ourselves in the water at the same time," she added. Duro was being scrawled across the chalkboard as the professor talked.

Crud. The white curtain was not a monster, pffft, it was only the Professor coming out from behind it. And jumping out asking questions already. "You could use Relashio underwater. Makes the water hot." Or something like that..

It wasn't her fault she couldn't think properly. The white curtain had scared her!
"You're right, Miss Shepard. The spell was actually used right here at Hogwarts during a grindylow and mermen invasion several school years back. Those of you in at least in your fourth year will likely remember what I'm talking about," she said. Of course, this being Lexi's first year as a professor, she hadn't been here either, but someone had caught her up on all the latest happenings just after she was hired. Relashio was added to the board, as well.

"Ahh, yes. Teras Verto. The spell would give a person...fish gills or webbed feet if need be," she recalled. "...a partial animal transfiguration, in other words. Good idea." Teras Verto was added to the steadily growing list on the board.

"It's a useful spell, yes, but it does limit what you're able to do, and what things around you---things you may need---can do for you," she remarked. "Good answer, though." The enchanted chalk added Herminny's suggestion to the list.

"It's helpful if you have time to cast it before you jump in the water," she said. "In emergency situations, you might not have time, though, so just be prepared to know a few backup charms and spells for when you get in the water. If you do have time to cast it, then yes, it'd be great to use."

Fallon quickly realized that she hadn't been the first one to say that, but it was better than not answering at all.
"Staying dry would definitely help, as a person is able to move around faster when the weight of the water isn't tying them down," she agreed. "Good answer."

Seeing a quick, jumping-type motion out of the corner of her eye, Lexi noticed that Arya had found herself a little friend---a spider who'd likely been brought in with the...---hmm, it was possible. She gave the girl a reassuring smile before glancing away.

"Maybe one could use a Placement Charm to hold some sort of breathing apparatus to their nose and mouth and use the Refilling Charm to continue filling it with air..?' It was a far fetched idea but hey he was trying to think outside the box here.
"I like that...very unique ideas, and you're thinking outside the box," Lexi remarked. The chalk jotted down a few additional notes just before Lexi waved her wand to end the charm placed on it. It landed with a barely audible thud on the little tray underneath the chalkboard.

Willow raised her hand in answer to the question and said "Could you use a summoning charm like Accio to summon yourself a breathing apparatus like scuba gear or oxygen tank?"
"That you could," Lexi agreed. "Accio would work well, too." She swished and flicked her wand toward the chalk, charmed it to write the spell on the board, then returned it to its home on the little tray.

"The Bubble-Head Charm...that's what today's lesson is geared toward. We'll talk about what it is, how it helps us, and then we'll cast the charm to...well, protect us from several things I've got in store," Lexi said, not quite ready to reveal the whole lesson just yet. "What can you tell me about this charm? Most of you are probably familiar with what it is and what it looks like, but...what else can you tell me?"
