He had seen Sarah run at the boy because Diggy was about to hit him at the time with his damn rolling pin (which would have bloody hurt if Sarah hadn't come along). She wasn't going all that fast because she was weighed down like an overgrown turtle with all that armour. And, the girl had used her pillow as padding. “Stop twisting things. You are the one who's in the wrong, Dillon.” He replied calmly, although he was tempted to smack the boy on the back of the head to snap him out of his temper tantrum.

And now came the crocodile tears. Oliver pulled a face. Dillon had done this the last time they had an argument too. Maybe it was because Oliver was a fellow Slytherin that he thought it meant diddly squat (they were good at faking stuff after all), but he wasn't going to fall for the self pity act this time. Yeah, he swung the pan alright... “At her FACE, Digz.” He reminded the boy. “Her little poke to your armoured body couldn't have hurt that much.” Jeez. Since when had Oliver become the mature adult around here? It was even a bit of a shock to himself.

He frowned as the kid continued to have a paddy and yanked away from him as he tried to make him feel better. He was defending the girl because Diggy was in the wrong – plain and simple. And he DID ask if he was ok. “I ASKED YOU!” He shouted back unable to hide his irritation with the boy any longer. “You're such a bloody martyr, Digz!” Oliver looked out for Digz, he did.. but if the kid was going to act like a nutter, as Sarah so aptly put it, he was going to say something - it would be irresponsible not to. He turned away from him. He didn't want to have a slanging match right here in the middle of class. A class he really wasn't in the mood for anymore.

A class that was apparently over... which was probably a good thing. Without another word to his half-nephew, because he didn't want to lose his rag completely, Oliver gathered up his weapons and dropped armour and followed Lainey back towards the castle.
He was done talking to Oliver. It seemed Oliver didn't care about Diggy or care that he was hurt. That a girl a foot taller than him, and who out weighted him without the armor had charged at him and crashed into him and then jabbed him with a stick. Never mind that little detail. All he cared was that Diggy had swung a pan at her. Well fine he would hold on to that sticking point. Him at that girl. He didn't care anymore.

His usually warm and sparkling brown eyes took on a dangerous very Paris-like gleam. "Its such a shame you look like a Greenwood." he told him evenly. "Because you don't act like one. Don't ever speak to me again Oliver." he said finally. There wasn't anything else to say to Oliver. Whom he would never call his uncle again. He was only a Greenwood in name and face as far as Diggy was concerned. He turned and walked away from Oliver fully intending to forget he even existed. He could have that Hufflepuff girl for all Diggy cared.

She had to work on that... she wasn't really great at it. She usually dropped on of her weapons when she tried both hands.

Selena frowned. She hadn't finished her battle!! She wanted to win!! She pouted. "A draw this time," she said to Diggy. But only this time, next time she would win! She dropped the weapon and walked back to class.
He was about to go on the attack for real and press her back but Professor Lainey called the class to order. He dropped his rolling pin and whisk. "Want to practice in the Room of Requirement sometime?" He asked. She was really good and it would do him good to actually practice once in a while.

He turned to head back into the castle for the rest of the lesson.
