Default Hidden in Plain Sight - Percy Jackson - Sa13+

This story is a crossover of Percy Jackson and Harry Potter.

For the record, I own none of the characters - they are sole property of J.K. Rowling and Rick Riordan. Thanks.

WARNING - I may give away the endings of the books so SORRY!

Hidden in Plan Sight: Chapter 1
I let out a deep breath as the bus chugged on toward school. Which shouldn’t be so nerve-racking…in theory. I’m Percy Jackson and yes going to school seems like Hercules’s 12 labors but who can blame me. I thought about this as Goode High School came into sight. Surprisingly it felt comforting that after a lifetime of trying I didn’t get kicked out of school…am I losing my touch. Kidding.
I tried to image Grover’s reaction to my joke. He would probably start laughing but it would turn into a bleat like a goat’s. What else could you expect from a satyr. Yeah you heard me. My best friend is half goat and my other best friend, Annabeth, is…um… I’ll get back to you on that.
I would have said that Annabeth is my friend heck best friend (she took a knife for me talk about loyalty). Now however you could say we were dating but I haven’t seen her since we left camp. I sent her
letters, emails, postcards, etc. She hasn’t replied after the fist couple. Maybe she is ignoring me or she could be constantly attacked by monsters. The latter is actually more likely.
Then suddenly the bus jolted like it was going over a pothole the size of Tyson (my little brother the Cyclops). When the bus continued moving normally smoke had appeared. But the fire… was Greek Fire.
I felt a hand grip me by the shirt and yank my out the window. My first instinct was not to scream because the other demigods probably would laugh till I died and my second instinct was to reach into my pocket. In a flash the near glowing blade was out and swinging.
“Seaweed Brain!!” rang through the air. Only one person dared call me that.
“ANNABETH!!” I shouted. I scanned my surrounding but nothing was there. Only a turned over us with a bunch of screaming teenagers trapped inside. The Greek Fire had ingested everything.
“There’s no need to shout,” Annabeth said. She wasn’t there but she did have her Yankees cap which turned the user invisible. I’m guessing she’s around here somewhere. “Come on!! Percy are you an idiot follow me,” Annabeth seemed to always speak sarcastically.
“Annabeth,” I said my voice was as calm as I could make it seeing as the bus I was just on is on fire. “I can’t see you.”
As soon as I said that a wave of blond hair was right in front of me. Annabeth was once again wearing her orange Camp Half-blood t-shirt and jean shorts. Even though school started it was still warm (perfect for killing monsters…right).
“Right…sorry,” Annabeth spat out her words and then ran. I mean dead on sprint. It wasn’t too unusual. Police didn’t make anything better when it came to half-bloods. We kept running for a while until the roads became unfamiliar and I was gasping for air.
Annabeth made a sharp turn and we ended up in an alleyway. It was mostly empty except the rusted down black pickup truck.
“Um…Annabeth, what is that?” I ask hesitantly.
“My car,” she answered simply before taking the wheel. “Well come on we need to get to Camp now.”

Yet another day at the ministry. Gosh, when will people understand that he was only 17 years old. Technically he never graduated Hogwarts.
“OH, what now!!” Harry Potter screamed. His assistant, Mary Jane Alistair, once again had piled up stacks of papers with an URGENT sign stamped on. “Really, is the world this bad?”
Mary Jane had entered and was looking murderous. “The Minister wants you in his office in five minutes and Harry,” she said as he was walking out the door. “don’t try to insult him. Kingsley is your friend.”
But Harry was already nearing sight of Kingsley’s office. Harry had done well since Voldemort died, he became head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He was going to go back to Hogwarts to get his N.E.W.T.’s.
“Excuse me sir,” he said calmly as he opened the door.
“Oh Harry, yeah it’s me,” Ron Weasley yelled even though Harry had entered the same room as him.
“Hi Ron, Minister what was so urgent?” Harry said turning toward the Minister of Magic. It was true when to Daily Profit said he was all work. If he could have his way no one would ever think that he only got this fancy job because he was the famous Harry Potter.
“Hello Harry, please take a seat,” Kingsley motioned with hand to a vacant seat in the middle of the only other people in this office. Hermione was there, beaming of course, she had become head of the Department of International Cooperation. Ron on the other side of Harry had become head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports. “Well you three now that Mr. Potter has decided to join us I think I should tell you what’s going on . As you well know our London office had the greatest charm placed to detect underage magic. Now even across oceans we can tell when our young friends become a danger,” Kingsley stopped his speech and pushed a tray of biscuits towards us. “Where was I? Oh yes, we people who have such power must take responsibility. And Mr. Weasley laugh all you want but in New York City’s surrounding areas there has been more underage magic then half the world’s combined. We know of no school, orphanage, or family there listed that could have been the cause. Which means that a group of KIDS hundreds of people large are living without the law,”
“So?” Harry asked , “ How can there be a danger in a few kids?” Kingsley never goes on so long in a speech and never in something like this. “And besides what does that have to do with Ron and I?”
“Harry, sit down. I’ll answer your questions when I’m done. We need a couple of trained individuals to be on hand in case the United States asks for our help,”
“What do we do till then?” Hermione asked offended. “These Kids probably need our help. They must be lost and confused. Who says there just not muggle borns who no one helped?”
“Just wait,” Kingsley asked calmly and sent them all back to work.
