Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad After finishing about half of two homework assignments each, Katie had decided it would be alright to take a break when she began losing focus of whatever it was she was writing about anyway. A little walk, and she'd return to her dorm with her books and parchment. Or a little walk is what she had thought to do, until an envelope had fallen out of one of the books; an envelope holding a letter she had forgotten all about. So off she went, spending the break she had given herself trying to find James Maguire. He'd promised to help her send that letter, which she wasn't even sure he remembered. But it didn't matter if she couldn't find him. Katie was not going to the owlery on her own, and she was not asking Matias to help her - Legend being the furthest thing from an option, considering it was ABOUT him.
Honestly, Katie wasn't even sure why she was going to send it. She thought about just forgetting it - and had unintentionally done just that, for about a week, - the possible receiver of the letter probably wouldn't have a clue as to who wrote it or why, after all it had started with a promise made what.. three years ago? About then. But still, the nagging feeling refused to leave; did she really want to send it? Katie didn't think so. Maybe her insides thought otherwise, though. Maybe they knew better then her? They must, the fourteen-year-old decided on her little journey around the castle.
Instead of finding Jae, the Gryffindor she had gone about searching for, the rather small Hufflepuff stumped on to the ground floor and blinked several times as she neared, a moment passed before the booths, clutter of students and other people clicked. In truth, she had forgotten about the Job Fair and signs, her mind set on homework and other things. But now that she was there, welll... might as well browse, right? Even though she had a good idea of what she wanted from her future, looking around and considering the possibilities couldn't do any harm. She was only a Fourth year, anything could happen by the time she graduated.
Glancing at few other displays on the way, Katie headed toward the Potion's booth. She wasn't very interested in the other subjects so far, besides maybe Culinary but that was more linked to her family rather then her future; Potions on the other hand, Katie found to be somewhat interesting. Atleast for today, when she didn't actually have to sit in Potion's class. Ooooh, and lookie there! "Hiya Willie," Katie greeted, a sweet smile playing on her lips as stopped at the Ravenclaw's side, turning her attention to the pamphlets set out when she noticed the Potion people behind the table and paused mid-reach, not expecting to see anyone she would recognize and especially not the Head Girl from her First year. "Hi."
