Before leaving her office, Lexi thanked the Ravenclaw girl for telling her about what was going out in the corridors. Fireworks, dungbombs...honestly. Whatever happened to having fun by hanging out at the lake? That's what had make Lexi happy when she'd been a student, at least.

It was a good thing she was a Charms professor, too. Before leaving her office, she'd charmed her ears and nose to protect her against...whatever in Merlin's name this student had come up with. As she closed the door to her office and entered the corridor, she saw screaming yo-yo's, dungbombs, and stink pellets.

Really? "You have got to be kidding me," she thought to herself. The entire corridor looked like some toddler was having a birthday party right in the middle of it. She could easily vanish the dungbombs, stink pellets, and fireworks and be done with them all. However, the charms she'd used would protect her eyes and ears and in the meantime, she could at least enjoy a free fireworks show.

She stayed in place until the show had ended then cast finite to regain her sense of smell and sound. She could handle the screaming yo-yo for the two minutes it would take her to deduct points and issue a detention. "Mmkay, then. You've earned yourself a detention and lost five points for Slytherin. Apollo, my owl, will be by shortly with your detention assignment," she simply said. "I'll see you then..."

..and with that, the Charms professor headed back into her office.
