Timothy sighed, he had read the notice board...but he must have missed the overall important message within it. He looked down at the ring, silver, it had its origins in the past century, and he had been given it when his parents had died. Though some might find the symbols upon it insulting, or even heretical he liked the thing.The ouroboros symbol glinted red in the dim light, and the hammer and sickle was almost hidden in its pale valour. He put it gingerly back upon his finger, and searched his pockets.

He withdrew a small (also silver and crimson) pocket watch. He had received this last year from his uncle Nath. Also had the symbols representing his family history, but it didn't have the same significance. It was a gift, part of a larger set, that had included all the supplies needed for school. Everything he owned, from binders to parchment he was using right now had the symbols upon it. This he could afford to loose.
