Abby was happy. Hogwarts. Pah. She didn't feel at all as swamped as she would have the first week of school at Salem. She wondered how long that would last.

She walked into the Transfiguration classroom with her bag slung over her shoulder and a few books and her personal item in hand. As she moved toward the desks, she gave the professor a greeting smile. "Good day, sir," she said cheerfully. Then, she plopped down in a seat near the front of the classroom and pulled out some parchment and a quill.

Ta-da! Abby put down her fan and quill. Ick. She still didn't like writing with quills.
