The common room was definitely Kel's favorite place. He always ended up there. He liked the common room more than he liked his dormitory. Which was something, because his bed was in his dormitory.

So, anyway, that's where he was; in the common room. And he had his faithful companion - his elf owl, Jasmine - with him. She was perched on his shoulder, silently studying her surroundings. Kel, on the other hand, knew his surroundings. And although there was a beautiful view out of the window, he ignored it and went to the couches. He plopped himself down on the empty couch, stretched out, and Jasmine hopped onto his chest and made herself comfortable.

Kel put his arms behind his head and closed his eyes. If he wasn't careful, he'd probably fall asleep right there.
