But, that would require her to take shoes off and she did not feel like doing that. Even without shoelaces, they were still a pain to take off and then put back on.
She really did hope this boy was good at Arithmancy. Perhaps the Professor should have said something about partnering up with someone better at the subject than yourself. That way no matter who Destiny partnered up with they could totally do the whole thing for her! Yeah. He looked pretty skilled in this subject, which was good for her, bad for him.
"Partners." she repeated, just because she felt like it.
Obviously she didn't know him. If she had known him, they wouldn't be partners right now!
"Right. Ced Cedric Nicolas Leone." she said nodding at his question about being prepared to work, and wrote his name down on the parchment in front of her. Wow, that was a long name. At second glance though, she figured Ced was just a nickname, and quickly crossed it off her parchment. Oops.
"You should write my name down, too. Destiny Hekate Shepard. That's Hekate with a K, not a C." She had to make that clear, or her reading would all be wrong!
"When is your birthday?" "Nevermind." He told her, grinning. And enough for chatting, they needed to do the equation now. He just hoped that Destiny was good enough at Arithmancy or do know how to add at least.
He watched her in horror as the girl repeated his name. The girl just got it quite wrong. And then he chuckled as she crossed 'Ced' off. He didn't expect that Slytherin could be silly sometimes. Err, well, most of the Slytherins around were silly. Silly like crazy. Crazy as though they had lost their sanity. And he wasn't being prejudiced against the green and silver house, he was just observing how they act.
"Ooh. You're done already. And my birthday is December 24, 2055. And don't forget to read or interpret the interpretation of my life path number, Destiny." He told the girl and then scribbled down Destiny's complete name on his parchment as she told him her real name. And then he started solving... and Destiny should not perturb while he was working.
"Hmm.. Nice middle name by the way." He muttered under his breath while casually solving Destiny's destiny number. And Ced later added, "
And your birthday please?"
