"Well, I was actually thinking about giving the House a really good pep talk after introducing you to them," Max said sheepishly and grinned. "Nothing embarrassing, I promise."
Well wasn't that a shame. His back wasn't what it used to be..... Shame. Truly. Though by the looks of things... No matter. Probably for the best they not get a stick out and try to bend their backs at odd angles to try and get under it. It wasn't a terribly Ravenclaw thing to do anyway.
She only had a small moment of horror at
Max's idea of party-pepping-up. After a look at the crowd (sleeping kid, couple of plotting firsties, a distracted Head Girl) maybe it wouldn't be too bad. Ah, Lainey loved Ravenclaws.
And, well, who was Lainey to not believe Max's promises? He was
promising, so obviously....
"Alright.... but don't tell them everything. My whole reputation is built on rumor and the intrigue." The rumors were mostly built on stone cold facts, but who was really keeping track, right?
