Hogwarts RPG Name: Armand Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Damien Beta-Erikson Slytherin First Year | My posting is a little backwards, but I wanted to claim my spot. Slytherin by heart Armand pulled the tie from his hair and tucked it away as he entered the room. This was proving to be a far more interesting challenge. With a flick of his wrist, his wand was in hand. Following the instructions, he cast. "Bombus Locatus." Getting a pull towards a cabinet, he made his way over and pulled it open. There was one. With that, he cast again. "Bombus Locatus." Once again there was an interesting pull... towards some desks. Interesting. He looked around them a moment, then kneeled and looked under. An odd feat for him. Ah... there was the next one. Then, of course, there was the last. Another cast and there was another tug... He followed it to a door and made his way inside. In the room was the next bomb. Perfect.
The next tasks had him figuring some locks. Which apparently wouldn't be opened with a simple alohamora. Of course, that would be too simple. He took some time to examine the first lock. He compared all of the spells to it, thinking. The only one he could come up with... "Lunar Unlockus." After all, it did look somewhat like a moon orbiting a planet. He'd spent enough time in the planet room that most things did, really. However, it gave him some satisfaction as it unlocked. He mentally crossed that one off the list and moved on to the next one.
This one was of some interest, and the triangular shape threw him off momentarily. He was about to cast when he rethought the matter. No, it should be based on the key, not the lock, right? He eyed the line down the center. Halved? Diameter? ... Radius. "Radial Unlockus." Click. Good. Two down.
He set that one aside and looked at the next. Square with a triangle... With a shrug, he tried the only one that seemed to make sense. "Pyramidium Unlockus." Unlocked. Great. And last... A lot of... circles. Once again, he went with the only one that made sense. At least in his mind. "Spherus Unlockus." With that one unlocked, he moved on.
"The color of royalty..." he murmured as he looked at the note on the bomb. What once was used was purple, as he recalled. He woud die before he wore it... or he might do it on a dare, but he'd rather people didn't know that. However, it was the most expensive dye at one time, which left it open only to royalty, or nobles in some places. Carefully mixing the red and blue potions, he got a rather royal shade of purple and used it to defuse the bomb. One down.
The next... Color of the city, though not the best color for the sky. He wasn't often in the city. He thought back to images he had seen, including many of muggle cities that Slade had shown him. Everything was rather... gray. Which would make sense. Gray was also the color of storm clouds, which would not be pleasant. Taking the black and white, he created a rather light shade of gray, which reminded him of both. With it, the bomb was defused, and he was able to move on to the next.
Spring... what was the color of spring? Of all things, he should have known this. Though the first thing that came to mind was pastels, and numerous delicate flowers which appeared in spring, contrasting the heartier ones in the summer. There was one thing, however. Spring was the time of new growth, as opposed to the maturing growth of summer. Most of which... was green. Well, if it didn't work, he would try pink next. Taking the yellow and blue potions, he mixed a bright green, reminiscient of his garden in early spring, before the blossoms. With the last bomb defused, he turned to their host, awaiting confirmation.
