Egypt nodded,
"It will be messy but I think a bit of fun." she mused. It would be a spectacular mess and the boys would enjoy it immensely. Tweet wouldn't be so happy about it but the boys would be.
Her head tilted to the right. That was a fair point. Seven kids loose in a giant candy store and then you wanted to take them to the theater. That was a very bad idea.
"Yeah I think after the show would be best. It can be a present to Willow I think." She knew Willow was going to be spectacular. The wee Greenwood was turing into a dynamo actress and ballerina. And Egypt was looking forward to going to Dylan's Candy Bar. It looked like heaven on Earth. She groaned when he mentioned KFC,
"Oh not KFC Nathan," she hated that place she honestly did and he was his favorite eatery. And she couldn't understand why.
"Anywhere but there." she begged with a smile playing at her lips.
"We don't have to go to a posh place I don't think Ben and Devon would stand for it." In fact Paris and herself were the only ones that liked to go out to eat at posh places. The rest of the family would queue up to a drive thru everyday of the week if Egypt let them.
"Well because you men will be in tuxedos." She explained. She wanted everyone to look nice for Willow's opening night, and plus she knew that muggle paparazzi would be there she wanted them to take good family photos.
"Have you ever gone out looking silly with me dressing you?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow.
Ok good the dessert was settled and she would get a whole souffle to herself. That was always a good thing. And she might be able to nip some of Nathan's.
She smiled as Nathan settled down to just look at her. He was right, they were missing that intimacy they used to share. And she gathered it had more to do with the perception that they had changed or grown apart more than with what her mother had done. Not that Egypt was going to excuse her mother or even forgive her. She just sat and looked at him. Taking in the bright color or his emerald eyes, her favorite color in fact. The soft curve of his lips, the cheeky smile. There weren't any words that needed to be said by either of them. The simply contact between them expressed so much it almost made Egypt cry. She was falling in love with Nathan all over again. Like the first time they meet in the park. They were going to be ok. They were going to grow old together surrounded by their children, and their children and their children. More in love than the first day they met.
"We miss you too Nathan. So much. The Greenwoods aren't the same without you," she smiled. Their family wasn't a family without Nathan. It just didn't work.
"We can have a good knees up." she told him using his favorite word. All they needed was an excuse to have a good party. The children certainly would enjoy a party. Her finger traced the back of his hand as he spoke.
Her eyes misted up a bit at his words.
"Yes we are." They were going to get through this and they were going to come out stronger on the other side.
"I love you so much," she answered back as he squeezed her hand.
She nodded.
"I speak to all of my sisters. We all grew up with her we know how she is." Truth be told the Riddle girls favored their father over their mother.
"They all are supporting us," Even her oldest sister Asia who sometimes tended to agree with Afia about what Egypt was doing with her life.
