"I like sports, I supposed that is one thing Jared and I can agree on and get on well about." she chuckled. "I don't really watch any but quidditich , but I love to play , qudditich is my favorite to play too. I have never watched cheerleading or done that before though..." she said with a laugh. It was never something that she had really been exposed to, perhaps Dessie would show her one day. "I don't expend anywhere near as much energy with this job than what I used to do. Being behind a desk and indoors so much is making me feel lazy, I work out everyday now." she said with a laugh. Being a Division Head was nothing on field work.
When Dessied said 'we shall wait and see' Rin nodded. Had to see how much they would actually eat and if she liked fish and chips or not, which Rin was certain that she would.
"Forces me to dine with you again? Dear if we can agree on food this much barely knowing each other it will hardly be forced." she chuckled. She looked to the waiter and finished listing the forementioned food , "Oh and a sweet tea too please." then after the waiter was off turned back to Dessie. "If you mean for you to pay next time , I won't have it. I am getting us lunch as a belated 'welcome to London'." she said firmly with a nod. "I really am sorry about the other day...I am normally not so kalt. I really didn't mean it towards you, I know I came off bad though." she apologized softly , her accent showing through. She knew it was only right to apologize, already forgiven or no.
Dessie raised her perfectly plucked, thick eyebrows, laughing as Rin told her she had finished unpacking only a month ago.
"Wow - well, then I guess I'm doing ok - there are no boxes anymore, but there are piles and piles of things everywhere. And I left most of my possessions back in the US too," she said, still unable to believe that she had so much stuff.
The idea of moving here had been to start fresh, but when she had packed she couldn't bear to leave everything behind... But, as Dessie regarded it now, she had taken far too many things she didn't need.
Chuckling, Dessie nodded in agreement. It was rare to find someone with an appetite equal - or at least, near to hers. As the waiter came, Dessie lifted up the empty bottle of Coke and asked for another one, and to keep them coming. There are many things that are bad for you - but Coca Cola was Dessie's biggest weakness.
"You know what? All right. But I am buying you lunch or dinner sometime," Dessie nodded, reluctantly agreeing. She wasn't very good with money - and she knew herself well enough not to get into money-related conversations. They usually ended with her feeling very stupid.
"Oh, forget it. I'm the queen when it comes to acting bad when guys are around," Dessie laughed off her apology and drank the last of the Coke in her cup, wishing the waiter would bring the next bottle already. The guys thing... Yeah, guys and Dessie did not mix very well. At least, not the American sort. Not anymore.
She was DONE with guys.
For the time being.
