"Yeah but that's only because you wont let them, and I wont let them," Adam began hesitantly. "But if I go...." he trailed off. Who knew what would happen? He wouldn't be around, so no-onew would ever see the two of them together. Then people would definately be falling at Lorelai's feet. She was just too blind to see it. "You would be able to cope Lori. I'm sure you would, you underestimate yourself. Buuuuuuttt let's not think about that, because thankfully I am coming back next year." And they didn't need to think about him not coming back, because it wasn't happening.
Laughing a bit, Adam followed Mrs. Annoying's direction to turn left, and he entered a street. After passing about ten house's on each side, Mrs. Annoying told him to stop, and he pulled the car onto the kerb and braked. "So, this is the place?" he said, looking out of the window at the house and reaching over the seat to take Lori's hand.
Just sticking her tongue out in response to his twit comment, Lori was busy looking past him and at all the things they were passing. Stuff, stuff she had seen before, all stuff she lived near herself. And there it was, the way you took to get to the Burrows house. Breaking her gaze out of the window to look at him, Lori smiled and nodded. "Of course I know that. I'm too pretty to be killed anyway." She laughed and then turned to look out her own window. Not so much things she had seen before.
"Fine, twenty it is." She nodded and she swatted his arm again, for good measure, "You said twenty, twenty it is." And twenty it was going to be. Hehe.
She was going to let him go on now, he just didnt. Which didn't surprise her, but it did also. Weird. Never mind. Adam was probably thinking, her tended to do that alot. In her company anyways, hhe had never seen him in others company, not by choice anyway. She just preferred to be alone with him. "Yeah, thankfully you are." She agreed, and then fell silent as they passed a sign that took them into Bristol.
She shut her eyes from that point, and only opened them as the car stopp and he took her hand. "I... I guess it must be, right? Satnav lady said it was."
