Actor Michael Gambon was a
guest on RTE's Late Late Show last night, where he promoted his upcoming stage production of Beckett's
Krapp's Last Tape in Dublin, Ireland, which is being helmed by Michael Colgan.
Gambon
talked about the play, being considered for the James Bond role decades ago, and working alongside Sir Laurence Olivier and a young Anthony Hopkins in his youth.
He also briefly discussed - or rather joked - about his work in the
Harry Potter films, quipping that he took part in so many plays because of how little his work as Dumbledore paid him. Gambon also said that young fans generally got him confused with Sir Ian McKellen when signing autographs. Please note that Michael Gambon has a tendency to make stories up, so don't take everything he says too seriously.
