Solemnity Fields was shopping for a dress, one of her favorite hobbies, but somehow her mind simply wasn't on it. Marcy had volunteered to come along the duplicitous little cow, most likely to make sure that Solemnity didn't buy a dress that would outdo hers, she wouldn't stop squawking about how it was being flown in by broom from France. A special order from the House of LaMarque etc. etc. ad nauseum. Solemnity didn't really care. She had already won the Frost Princess crown and she'd made sure that idiot Marcy and her little group of Heathers had realized she was not interested in Chad.
