Laura laughed lightly at Jayden's comment about the fireball.
"That's good to hear," she said.
"I'm doing well, thanks for asking! I love this new set-up, personally, don't you? It feels much more efficient than the way it was before." She looked around at the nice new work area as she spoke. It was a really nice way to get everyone pitching in and getting to know each other. And as a new division head, Laura wanted to get to know as many people in the department as she could.

Did he say "deathbed?" Laura was momentarily shocked.
"I do hope you're feeling better. It wasn't terribly serious was it?" she said. Ah, well. John was probably tired of people questioning him about that stuff. But she figured it didn't hurt to show that she was concerned.
"Well, you missed the helping out with the World Cup," Laura shrugged.
"Did you happen to get to see the match, though?" It would have been a shame if John had been too ill to see the Quidditch World Cup.
"And obviously, the Ministry went through the remodel," she added, waving her hand around to indicate the new work area.
"The Portkey section is over there," she said, pointing.
"So, I suppose you can choose one of those desks. Don't mind my things. I was just about to move them up to the division heads' section, just in case you want to take my desk."
