Kat muttered, thinking of a few girls in particular she'd seen around campus last year, thankfully they graduated. "Jill, is it?" she asked. "Alpha Pi Deta, we treat each other like sisters, so if you feel more at ease by a nickname, you'll be called it." Kat explained. "And if you must know, Kyleen Adrienne Teegan. Trained Healer that made the mistake of coming back to the unviersity for a visit and got stuck." she said the ending with a beaming smile. "The front door is usually always unlocked, I just don't like people sneaking in the rear...especially in the day light." Kat told her with another pointed look.
Jill gave a little jump in her seat as Kat disapproved of her earlier answer, mentioning that coffee did not count as food in her house. "Ah! Well-- uh, I just..." The girl wasn't sure what to say, but she didn't have to worry much about a response as Kat went on, explaining to her that everyone called her Kat, that she had already seen enough rudeness. Jill gave her a sympathetic smile but said nothing, and nodded her head as the woman then asked if Jill was her nickname. "Got stuck?" she repeated with an amused smile over Kat's following words. As the woman then mentioned that the front door was always unlocked but she didn't like people sneaking in the rear in day light, Jill sunk slightly in her seat but gave an apologetic smile. "Maybe 'dramatic entrances' aren't the best," she said with a soft chuckle. "I'll definitely keep that in mind, though - front entrance. Unlocked. Check." She nodded, as if to confirm she had memorized this before giving the woman another smile, though she was quick to turn a little serious again. "It's Rush Week next week... I've been a little undecided about which sorority to join; or if I should join one at all. Can you... tell me about Alpha Pi Delta? Like I said earlier, one of my roommates is a member here, and I'm considering joining." She paused for a moment. "Her name's Layla, she said you were really nice." Brownie points for Layla, perhaps? Jill hoped so; the girl was nice and deserved some real brownies too.

Syler grinned as he stood up tray in hand to head back to the food hall to dispose of it.
"Hmm, I was hoping to go for the studious-but-not-quite-nerdy freshman. Though my lack of books is probably taking away points from my disguise," Oliver replied with an amused smile as Syler asked him what freshman he was supposed to be impersonating. He listened as the boy then agreed to heading over to the fraternity house later that day, as he wanted to get away from his freshman roommate. At this, Oliver couldn't help but laugh. "I told you you should've gotten a single dorm. Nothing beats having a room of your own, trust me," he told his friend with a grin, obviously quite happy with his dorming arrangements. But he was soon distracted from this as Syler went on to mention that they should've had the party already, and Oliver nodded his head. "Yeah, but we've been delayed this year, it seems. The dean's been kind of... not very pleased with all the parties we held last year," he said with a soft chuckle. "So hopefully the girls in the sororities will have more and invite us over to make up for all the ones we won't be able to hold this year."
