John sighed as he looked around his cubical. The office sure had changed since he had last been here... Now they even had cubicles. He unpacked his lunch, which included a well made sandwich containing bacon and ham, a thermos of heated ghillie water, and a dessert of chocolate pie formed into a nice slice. He sighed as he shuffled through the paperwork on his desk as he took a lonesome bite from his sandwich. The faces have changed, I really should be around more....

He polished off the sandwich as he glanced over a dossier, which he had filed in concordance with security proticals, on one of his friends in the Ministry, Blackstone Martimus, who worked with the Magical Law Enforcement part of the Ministry. He skimmed over it quickly, and found no complaints. The only major incident described in the file was a scuffle that Blackstone and himself had gotten into with several other patrons in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, which had turned very violent, and had gotten out of hand and had only been resolved by the timely arrival of Catastrophe Destiny Kerr, whom John hadn't seen in months...

She was nice, and quite calm under fire... I wonder what happened to her...

John flipped to Catastophe's dossier, and opened it. The latest entry on it was many months ago, and she hadn't been updated in months. John looked up and fidgeted a bit, as always, uncomfortable sitting in a chair for long. He preferred to be out on patrol, or talking. He checked to make sure his wand was secure in his wrist holster, took a sip of Ghillie water and looked around.
