Still not being able to meet his eyes, the blonde nodded resolutely. "I understand, Carter." She felt compelled to say something else but instead bit it back. Enough had been said for now. Still not looking into his face, she faced the castle once more and began walking back.

Carter watched her leave. "Well then. Take care of yourself Force." he said softly more to himself than anything else. He picked up his ball and began bouncing it on his knees again. He wondered if things would get better between the two of them. A part of him wanted to see that happen, but another part of him didn't know if it was possible.
