But he couldn't stop the words. Maybe he did want the pair to give it a shot. Watching the twins now, Kyle certiantly was the lesser of two evils.
"Rose, honestly. Who cares if Kyle's in Slytherine. Your father works with theirs, and just from over hearing our parents gossiping about the rich and famous, apparently theirs is one of the more down-to-earth. I'm sure they'd get over it." Ge looked her dead in the eyes. "Victorie and Abby are right. Forget about the memory charms, forget about the party, and just talk to the boy!" He gave her a light shake, to emphasize the point, smiling a little. "Please?"

Rose snatched her sunglasses back and returned them to their place covering her eyes. She crossed her arms over her chest. Yes, she was being stubborn. But she had every reason to be. She was beyond embarrassed. No matter what happened she would never ever be able to act normal around him or anyone for that matter. She turned her full attention to her cousin. She secretly hoped she'd be able to do some damage so she wouldn't be the center of attention. She carefully turned her head slightly and looked in Kyle's direction out of the corner of her eye. Maybe if things had gone differently... Oh, what was she thinking? She knew better than to waste her time thinking of things that wouldn't happen.
