Strange? Always.
Cadence sighed and then giggled a little at the comment about her hair.
"The dancing thing just... sort of happened. He likes photography and he wanted to take pictures of me. He asked me if I had any fancy dresses, and I showed him this picture," she said as she pulled the picture out of the pocket where she always carried it and showed it to Tyler. Yep, she was going to have to explain all of it now.
The picture showed her in a flowing, dark purple ball gown with sparkles and a sheer, glitter fabric that attached to her arms and the back of her dress to accentuate the flowing movement of her arms. Her hair was pulled up elegantly, and she had on evening makeup. She was posed in the picture with a man who was older than her with dark hair and pale blue eyes, dressed in a black suit with a purple tie that matched the color of her gown. Around both their necks was a gold medal hanging on a black ribbon.
"That's me at a ballroom competition." she said, smiling down at the picture.
"My dance instructor just showed up at my grandparents' house all dressed up and said he had a surprise for me, said he was busting me out of prison for a little while. He took me to his dance studio by side-along apparation, and he had all these people fit the dress on me and do my hair and make up, and then we left for the ballroom competition. I competed in waltz, and I won. Then when we got back to my grandparents' house, they told me I couldn't keep the dress, so Jonathan kept it for me." Finally she took her eyes off the picture and smiled up at Tyler.
