Hogwarts RPG Name: Auden Azarolla Ravenclaw First Year | <.< >,> v.v ^,^! Ivory looked around as all her classmates cast their runes and in some way their fortunes.
Her eyes were wide as she took in the expressions on all their faces, some pensive, others happy and others well just plain upset.
She didn't want to ask how she was going to die, or if anyone near her was going to die, or if someone was going to get sick or if something bad was going to happen...no she wanted to stay towards safe questions. Maybe if she ever found herself alone with some witches' runes she would consider asking more deeper questions but for now nope, she'd have none of that.
Carefully she took out each rune individually from it's white silk casing. Examining each one in the light, she wondered what exactly it was about them that made them fall into place to provide people with their future. A special type of stone maybe? Carved under a blue moon? Made when your star was in the right place? How did one know the right circumstances for doing such things? How did one plan? And was it even a good day to ask a question of them today? Should she wait till maybe her birthday? But it was on leap year, she'd have to wait for a while....
Deciding to forget her musing and just get on with it, she collected all the runes. Barely able to contain them all in her wand hand, she reached out in front of her giving them a lucky shake. "What does my future hold for me," she began but then the perfect question hit her and she elaborated, "will I master and find out the history of my wand?"
Squeezing her eyes shut, she realized this is what she really wanted to ask, and hoped that the runes wouldn't only interpret the first part of her question, the general part. She wanted to know about the rest as well.
Slowly she turned her hand palm down, and opened her hand. Her ears listened carefully to the soft landings of the flat pebbles against the white silk.
Opening her eyes, she leaned forward to examine the lead rune. "The Rings? What? "
Taking out a piece of parchment she began to analyze the ones that had landed face up, comparing them with her notes on each rune.
Satisfied that she'd interpreted the runes in the best way she could, considering she was no pioneer in divination, she leaned back in her seat pondering on the validity of her analysis. |
