The man meant to be teaching them this summer... had just disappeared into a closet. Either he'd found his way to Narnia, or he'd managed to leave Hogwarts without Apparition. Which was a bit amazing, but still...
"He's strange." Shrug. He tugged on one of his hat strings again. "Guess I'll be staying in Diagon Alley for a week then..."
To go home and come back would just be bothersome. He had everything he'd need; his father person had sent him the things he'd asked for, a few weeks ago. He was set for the summer. Surely he could still get a room at the Leaky Cauldron, right? He'd apologised for the last disaster, and the barkeep had accepted it! So... all was well, right?
He took to staring out the window, looking dazed but paying attention, as his mind turned to planning a week by himself in Diagon Alley. |
