You would answer some questions and likely take minor punishment, if found guilty. Or you can continue this useless charade. It's no secret what's going on. And the question is not what I can prove here. I'm obviously not getting any admission out of you right now, and why would you? But that isn't the issue. Your statements here will likely mean nothing in court."
Blackstone turned his back to Covington and began to walk off. "I suppose that's that, then. Expect a summons. Perhaps even a warrant, if you don't wish to come along. In court you may continue your stubbornness and attempt at deception, except in court it's called perjury, and its a crime." Covington sent a bland look at Blackstone as it seemed his return of the flirting occuring with the blonde hit a nerve. "Blackstone, calm down. No need to take your frustration out on some innocent conversation," he said, feigning a friendly tone. "You are mistaken, though. I'm always in a position to respect a beautiful woman. Besides, it takes two." Since he hadn't ven really started the flirting. Although it had been highly entertaining to let the girls think it would work to get him to confess. And then Mr. Cranky Ministry man was back to his insistence that he was being uncooperative, and he resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Broken record here.
"I'm not ignoring them. You're simply not understanding mine," he pointed out, a faint smirk flickering on his face as he wondered what Blackstone's higher-ups would think if they saw him now. "I never said I wouldn't come with you. If you stopped having your little inferiority issue for two seconds. Although you are right with one thing. I'm not going to admit anything when I don't feel the need to." And he certainly didn't feel the need to tell this guy anything. Not when he was acting like a petty schoolboy. It was fun setting him off though. And then the man even went so far as to walk away. Even better.
"I'm waiting with bated breath for that summons. Honest," he called out to the departing figure, with only a hint of sarcasm as he leaned against the wall of the dealership's offices again nonchalantly. He did think there would be a summons, but then, he'd already destroyed the evidence underneath Ministry boy's nose. So he wasn't worried. "And thank you for that compliment. Really, it's amazing you feel comfortable enough with me to call me stubborn. I commend you, especially since you added that little bit of a lesson in there. I'll take that into consideration." Maybe. He was well aware of exactly how far he could go before getting caught, and if Blackstone didn't know that, he hadn't done his research.
