Snake disguised as Raven Browncoat Howl wanted to respond to his former professor, even if it was a rather cutting answer, but the unmistakable sound of knocking came from the door and he turned his back to the window, leaning against the frame and crossing his arms. As she moved to the door he called, “How do I know you’re not going to make me take these kids now, and then later make me teach here as well?”
She turned her nose up at him, “Learn to trust, Howl.”
And with that she opened the door and took in the students gathered there, “Why, look at you all! So prompt! Come in, come…” her eyes lingered on Nadia briefly, but she didn’t comment. Instead she stood aside to let them into the room, “I’d like all of you to meet your mentor for the summer; Morpheus Howl.”
She gestured to him and sent a message through her eyes that clearly said ‘be nice.’
Howl just looked at them. |
