Kaya walked up the staircases to the first year dorms. She didn't know anybody here and was feeling a little awkward. She wasn't the sort of person that made an effort with making friends, she sort of let other people introduce themselves to her. She walked over to her bed and found her trunk waiting for her there. She smiled and sat on her bed, watching all of the arrivals walk in the dorm. She scanned their faces to see which ones she would want to be friends with..

After about 20 minutes of sitting in the dorms, she felt that she should check out the common room. She stood up and walked down the steps..
