Layla smiled and also turned her attention to the professor. After he had gone to the staff table, she started at her food again. Why was it so easy for Severia to make friends, but she couldn't make even one. Life at Hogwarts was going to be harder than expected...

Nina walked over to the Slytherin table to make some friends in other houses. She had been in the entrance hall and had a question she was dying to ask about something odd she saw there. But that can wait till later. She doesn't want to straight out ask a blunt question to people she doesn't know.
"Hi, my name is Nina. How is everyone?" She asks the table abroad.
