“Dean, come out of the airing cupboard.”
“No!”
Dean slammed the door and held the handle tight. He was seven years old, and had decided that his new hidey hole was the airing cupboard. It was warm and cosy.
“Dean!” said his father. “You cant stay in there!”
“Why not?” shouted Dean through the door.
“It’s tiny! There isn’t room to swing a cat in there!”
“Don’t care,” replied Dean, stubbornly. “Its warm.”
“Well,” his father said, slowly. “You DO know that your mother keeps her underwear in there, don’t you?”
Fair to say, Dean was out like a shot.
