Trying her hardest to keep an indifferent yet apologetical face Nancy immediately diverted her eyes from the new professor. Only to glance back at him a moment later. It was rude not to look at people when you are talking to them, right? "I'm awefully sorry, Sir. I did-" Something about the guy made her stop mid-sentence though. "I'm sorry." She ended up repeating once again in an attempt to at least not lose any points for Slytherin or something.
Although, he had said he wasn't keen on taking points from Slytherin which apparently meant that he liked them. Sort of anyways. Quote:

"She wanted to keeps me out of school too but I decided that I would stay." Sarah knew that would defently upset Nancy. "Well what are you doing?" Inwardly Nancy winced every time Sarah said his name out loud. If she was doing it on purpose or not Nancy would never know. Although, most likely - with her being Sarah Jessica Winchester and all - she was doing it on purpose. Why was this affecting her that much anyhow?! He apparently didn't care enough for her that he had written her a letter so why should she care? Pfft.
Nancy tuned in again on what the Hufflepuff girl was babbling on about at the mention of her choosing to go to Hogwarts. Wait...did that mean they had gotten to choose? And he had decided against going back to Hogwarts? Right now the one thing she really wanted to do was leave the Great Hall and hide somewhere where she could be alone. Just her and well, herself. "What do you mean?!" Nancy more snapped than said in reply to Sarah's question. |
