She still wondered how to make it more English than Spanish. "I don't think I can, this is how I learned your language, first the alphabet with phonics and everything...then the rest seemed like a piece of cake, like I just told you." She explained, trying to make sense. Because she had to make sense.

Annie was embarrassed of what she was about to tell Lori. "Because I know nothing about walking on heels..." It sounded more like a question than anything else, than even a confession.
