"Mmmm, yes it probably will fall down someday, so why not dance in its shadow before it does? It would make it more.. Thrilling!" She said with a soft giggle.
She smiled up at him, still leaning on the side of the train. "Really? That sounds like an interesting tale. Care to share?" She asked him curiously. Her only best friends had been her siblings. So she didn't really have any cool stories she could share about how she met people.
"Dear Merlin! I think you are fading away right before my very eyes!" She clasped a hand to her chest, feigning shock. "No Chris! Fight the urge to go!" She looked up at him, her face full of mock horror. This really was comical, the boy was at least a foot taller than her. Really, she could easily fit in his pocket if he so wished, and he could carry her around. She giggled at that mental image. But it was a nice one too.
She nodded seriously as he spoke. "Good! You better!" Her face lit up again though as he spoke, "Good Good, just to let you know, juggling knives on fire is completely out!" She nodded. "That is just to dangerous, you could light yourself on fire, while cutting off a limb, the healers would go into hysterics!" She grinned. "Not to mention the collective mothers of the world would faint, the moment you started."
Alex look horrified. "Send it to me?? But it would miss you so terribly! I don't think I could mend it's poor.. heart.." She resisted the urge to laugh. "And it does have a heart.. err well it is connected to one at least!" She started to laugh as well, this conversation was.. ridiculous, but super fun.
"It is okay.." She didn't know why, but the place where his hand had been on her head was slightly hot.. Perhaps I am coming down with a fever? She thought to herself. "Well, I am sure my scalp is safe, thank you." She said smiling. "Good." She answered just as softly.
Chris grinned. "Well, why not?" he asked her with a smile. Well, they had only just met, that was one reason he could think of. But, he was just being friendly... right? "The problem with juggling together is that I would never be able to tell if you hit me with a ball on accident... or on purpose!" he said with a laugh. He continued to laugh as she talked about dancing under the LEaning Tower. "Living life on the edge are we?" he asked, shaking his head so that his dark locks flew away from his face.
He laughed at the thought of the meeting. "Its nothing special, really," he attempted to assure her. "Basically, I was walking along with a map of my school practically glued to my nose. Next thing I know, I barged into something quiet solid. At this time, my best friend was quite a bit taller than me... but I caught up to him," he added with a wink. "Anyway, we were both knocked to the floor and looked up to discover we had both been doing the same thing, and looking for the same place. So, putting our heads together we found where we were supposed to go," he finished with a laugh. "It wasn't until later that we both confessed to the hope that the other person we ran into was a girl!" That coincidence had sealed their friendship from the beginning. He was just sad to have left him and so many other friends behind. "He was actually the one that juggled while asking a girl out," he said, connecting the two for Alex.
"Oh my, Alex! When did you get so tall? I can barely see you from down here... its hurting my neck!" he said with a laugh. He could actually just pick this girl up. She was at least a head shorter than him, and he could have easily just placed her on his shoulder... or put her in a pocket. "What was that laugh?" he asked, making a face as she giggled. "For some reason, I'm slightly worried..."
"WHAT!?" he exclaimed. "Come now, you're taking all the fun out of it!" he said with a slight pout. "That was Totally on my list of things to do... I wouldn't do it with other people, and I would cast spells to make sure I wouldn't catch on fire!" he assured her. He grinned at the thought of panicked nurses. He and his best friends had done things similar- so it was a fresh image in his mind. In fact, when his best friend would even walk into the infirmary, the head nurse would cringe.
Chris was clutching his stomach from laughing so hard. He couldn't even respond to a finger being connected to a heart. He placed his hand on the wall of the corridor and attempted to take deep breaths between fits of laughter. "I figure... it would rather be... with someone that... appreciated it!" he said, between laughs.
He finally recovered and took a deep breath to try and calm himself. "Well, that's good... now we just have to find where those round rascals went!"
