He took a moment to push her hair from her eyes. He knew she hated it being there, and then gave her a little kiss on the cheek.
He listened as she recounted in vague details what she had been doing. Obviously nothing so interesting that she felt a need to say more detailed. He did look with interest at the sack and asked. "And what is that?"
She couldn't help but smile as Elan's arm slid behind her shoulders. It was one of those little things he'd done more recently - since they'd got together properly and her parents had adapted to the idea that she was now old enough to have a boyfriend. It'd been strange at first, with Elan staying. Like they had to tip-toe round her parents even if they only wanted to hold hands or go to town together. And yet it turned out better than she'd thought - they had been supportive of the whole situation, let them go to the World Cup together and didn't even now seem to pull a face when she an Elan cuddled up on the sofa to watch a film. She wasn't sure her brother really appreciated it all though...
Thinking back over the summer made Nia's eye twinkle, and she wiggled slightly until she was totally comfortable with the location of Elan's arm. With that sorted, she also decided to kick off her shoes (purple pumps) and wriggled her toes. The moment was completed as Elan moved that really annoying chunk of hair that had succeeding in falling across her face. Again. Despite her attempt at tucking it back with her wand. Probably not the best place to store her wand, but hey, it was at least in easy reaching distance if really needed.
"I was looking to see if I could find any of the Quidditch lot...it'll be weird without Willow..." She explained softly - sure Elan was curious about here whereabouts, but not nosy enough to question her further. "We need to get back on top form, so I hope its someone good." Since the World Cup, Nia been pondering her own quidditch career somewhat, and whether she'd ever get that good. A captain could sure have a big influence on a player's early development, she was sure.
She was drawn from her thoughts as she noticed Elan taking serious interest in her bag. She laughed. "Oh, nothing exciting. Only a bit of homemade lunch if you're hungry. And I might have stopped for a couple of sweetie things at the food trolley..."
