And then she left him, basking in the fact he had even known Lorelai Bristol, ever been in the same room as her. What a great start to his life.
Standing up, Adam leant out of the compartment door as she left.
"Wait, Lor! I'M SORRY!" he shouted after her, sounding esasperated. But she didn't turn around, and he slunk back into the compartment with a sigh. Running a hand through his hair, he closed the compartment door over and turned around.
He'd messed up, already. And he wasn't even at school yet. What a great start to the year. NOT. Flinging himself down onto the seat he'd just vacated, he looked out of the window until he felt pressure on his shoulder. The cat which had landed there jumped onto his knee, and he lifted it up and shoved it back into the basket.
"That' sit, Hanson," he glared at the cat.
"It's all your fault. If you hadn't gone for the thing, I wouldn't've ruined my chance with Lori."
