"Well I can tell by your positively ragged features that you're my elder, so how I ask HOW am I supposed to respect you when you do not even acknowledge such an act?" He was being a smidge dramatic, but there was no question that a bold bruise would form by the end of the trip. Kellen burst out laughing. A trog? Of all the insults and all the names, that was the one that first sprang to mind? Hilarity! Quote:

But that boy!
How rude of him.
He was obviously older and with a shield or repellent or something up so the earplugs would not hit him...but it is the thought that counts right? She nonchalantly took one plug out of her pocket and chucked it in his direction. Quote:

He leaned against the wall and kept right on going. Trog! Quote:

Chaucer's demeanour immediately changed from 'excited boy' to 'refined snob' instantaneously - a feat he had practiced since he was old enough to wear his first waistcoat. He continued calmly, attempting to straighten out his pinstriped pants, which had bunched up on the one side, exposing his sock and scrawny white leg. "I am fine - of course you are right about the wound. All soldiers must have one, I would be remiss to not include myself in this generality. Ah, but why am I here anyway? How childish..." Well, that was typical of the boy to recover so fast. Quote:

Straightening himself so he was as tall as he could be, Chaucer gave a polite nod and proudly sashayed into his compartment. The effect of which was completely negated, as the bits of foam bounced fitfully in his mass of hair. "Everything's quite alright gentlemen, continue with your...game." With Chaucer in a snit, it would be a long ride to Hogwarts for the rest. Kellen turned to face the other way as Chaucer swept into their compartment, knowing his cousin wouldn't appreciate being snickered at. An attempt to say that the tears coming from his eyes were in genuine sadness and not mirth would only go horribly wrong. Still, it wouldn't be the same without Chaucer playing too... |
