Smiling, Kel watched as Neige rolled onto Satine's hand. The pygmy puff really seemed to like Satine, although really, who could blame it? Satine was one of the most awesome people that Kel knew. That's why he was so proud to have her as a little sister.
"I rode a skateboard at the store, that was it," he sighed, thinking back to the surprisingly fun-yet-dangerous wood board. "I didn't have any muggle money, ya know? I would've bought it if I could've. I'm sure I could've found a way to sneak it in my window..." he trailed off, consious of the others in the compartment. They didn't need to know all the boring stuff about his family and whatnot.
He tipped his head slighty to the side to get a better look at the scar Satine was showing him. "Erm...roller blades seem more dangerous then skateboards." he raised an eyebrow curiously at 'stitches,' but didn't ask. When she started about the Jelly beans. Now, both eyebrows raised and he poured some of the candy into his palm. He looked at Satine for assurance, but then he remembered that she said they were normal flavors. So, after looking over a brown jelly bean, he popped it into his mouth.
"Chocolate!" he exclaimed, his jaw dropping in surprise. He didn't know what he'd been expecting, but it wasn't that. He smiled briefly at Satine before slowly putting a green bean in his mouth. "Mmm, watermelon." he announced, after tasting the candy. "You got these in America?" he asked, slightly disappointed. He wanted more.
"Sadly, no, nothing hugely exciting. I'm going to try to go through it without having severe problems, though." one corner of his mouth twitched up in a small smile. "And you? You always seem to have something grand going on."
Satine continued petting Niege and placed the Pygmy Puff in her lap. She offered the Puff a jelly bean in case it liked them as much as her chinchilla did.
"Well, then I know what to get you for your birthday this year...an amazing muggle skateboard in Ravenclaw colors with your name on it???" she said it as a question with a smile and she acted like she was writing it down in an imaginary notebook/parchment and then acted like she was tucking it all away in her purse.
She smiled again as he hestantly popped jelly beans into his mouth. Then she had a thought.
"Yes they are great and if you like them I could get you some to go with your skateboard..." she patted her purse where she had 'stuffed the parchment from earlier' and then she slightly giggled...
"How great would it be to mix in Bertie Bott's jelly beans into these and trick peeps into eating the nasty flavors..." she paused as she imagined this reaction from the poor victim that fell for it.
She was woken up from her mean prank day dream by his revelations about the year..."
Well, I'm hoping this year to be number one in points again and to make tons of new friends, as usual...but I feel behind last year...I just had a really off year last year and...for some reason...I can't remember half of it..." she said with a shrug of her shoulders and a slight pause....
She leaned in kind of close to him to indicate she wanted to tell him something like a secret and with a red face whispered as she glanced at the others in the compartment,
"And, I'll let you know since you're my big bro....but...I'm....gonna....try...to...well...umm mm...find a boyfriend..." she said the last really fast almost like trying to say it so fast he wouldn't hear it.
