After a moment of contemplation, she stepped out of the compartment. Guess not, she thought and moved downward, trying to find a different one. She was rather intimidated about sitting with the older years.

She found a lonely compartment and sat in it.

Sherri stopped in front of one compartment, and knocked on the glass door. The girl sitting in there seemed to be about her age, as she observed, and possibly her year. If not, oh well, better late than never. Sherri opened the door. "Hi, mind if I join you?"
