Hearing another knock at the compartment door, Satine took her glance away from the others and smiled at the newcomer...but before she could smile too much she screamed, "KEL!!!" just as he opened the door and asked if he could sit with her. She jumped up and ran over to hug him around the neck.
"Of course you can sit with me, " she said as she placed her purple bag on the floor making room him...she could tell he felt a little awkward coming into a compartment of peeps he didn't know so she instantly started introductions....she couldn't remember if anyone had met him before...
"Hey everyone, this is my big brother...well...my adopted big brother, Kel...." she said as she glanced over her shoulder and winked at him...then she continued and pointed at each person as she introduced them..."And this is Aaron and Iris, my besties from Slythie, and Lucia, whom I just met..." she said with a smile and an encouraging nod to her compartment mates to say hello.
She turned her attention back to him..."O my gosh...it feels like it's been forever and a day since I've seen you let alone talk to you.......how was your break? did you have to stay with your mom again this break? Was it better this time? What about....o what's her name...is it Jenn?" she said quickly...she always bombarded him with questions but they just had to catch up and fast.....she thought as she pushed one of her bangs behind her ears.
Kel immediately felt better once Satine hugged him. He gave her a one-armed hug back, since his other arm was still occupied with his trunk and owl. He half-smiled at the way she introduced him to her friends, but the half-smile soon turned into a full smile. He even looked up to wave and give a
"Hey," to all her friends. Aaron, Iris, Lucia... he'd remember that.
He sat down beside Satine, setting his trunk and Jasmine, his owl, down on the floor beside him, just as Neige rolled up his back and onto his shoulder from where she had been sleeping in the hood of his sweater. He rolled his eyes a the pygmy puff before looking back to Satine.
"Ugh yes," he said with a sigh,
"I spent all summer at my house. Thankfully I was locked up in my room for the most part, so I didn't have to deal with my mother a ton and I found out about a lot of cool muggle stuff. Have you ever heard of a skateboard?" ...Anyways... "And things are actually good with Jenn again... She's my girlfriend. Again. Although I haven't heard from her all summer, so I'm hoping I'll see her real soon..." he frowned.
"What about you, though? What's new with my little sister? How was your summer?"
